History

Paliparan II Integrated High School (P2IHS), formerly known as the Paliparan II National High School (P2NHS), was founded in 2010 to cater the growing community in Barangay Paliparan 1 and Paliparan 2. At first, it served as the annex of its ‘mother school,’ the Congressional National High School (CNHS) headed by Dr. Emmanuel L. Ressurrecion as Principal IV.

Its main building was inaugurated on February 10, 2011 from the initiative and effort of the City Government of Dasmariñas headed by Hon. Jennifer Austria-Barzaga. The construction of the school building was funded by the Office of the Congressman under Hon. Congressman Elpidio “Pidi” Barzaga Jr. During a year-round construction, P2NHS, on its first year of operation, borrowed five classrooms from Paliparan Elementary School (PES) headed by Principal II Mrs. Mercelita D. Mendoza. The school was operated by an officer-in-charge (OIC) Mrs. Edna B. Laudato with only seven faculty members for the school year 2010-2011 with approximately 250 freshmen as its initial students. Finally, after the school building was inaugurated in 2011, the students and teachers had used it under the school administration of OIC Mr. Ricardo C. Del Mundo starting S.Y. 2011-2012 that lasted for three years. In the school year 2015-2016, Paliparan II National High School was officially separated from its ‘mother school’ CNHS under the supervision of Ms. Rowena R. Hermoso who was promoted as Principal II in 2017.

In response to the implementation of the K to 12 curricula, Paliparan II National High School has become Paliparan II Integrated High School after they offered in 2016 two Senior High School Academic tracks specifically: General Academic Strands and Humanities and Social Sciences. And presently our senior high has added Tech-Voc track that specializes; Bread and Pastry Production, Cookery, Food and beverage services. Consequently, the said school had produced its first ever Senior High School graduates batch 2018.

In the beginning of the school year 2019-2020, Mrs. Ivy Joy Pelayo took over as a School Head of Paliparan II Integrated High School. In the present, the school recorded a total of 2,532 enrollees from Junior High School (Grades 7-10 with a total of 2,367) to Senior High School (Grades 11-12 with a total of 165) for the school year 2019-2020 as of July 2019. In addition, the school has expanded its family into 110 faculty and staff that comprising of 92 JHS faculty, 11 SHS faculty, 5 administrative personnel, 1 HT and 1 SH.

P2IHS is continuously growing as it expands its horizon to any challenges in order to achieve the educational goals of the Department of Education when the newly inaugurated four-storey building with 16 classrooms has been opened to the Grade 7 learners in the school year 2018-2019. Furthermore, new facilities have been opened since the beginning of classes to the learners such as Computer Laboratory 3. Learning Resource Center (LRC), and relocation of the guidance, administrative, and principal’s Offices respectively. The two buildings under construction last 2018 have been opened are another four-storey building with 16 classrooms and the newly finished four-storey building with 12 classrooms for a total of 28 classrooms since the beginning of S.Y. 2019-2020 some Grade 9, Grade 8 and Grade 10 students to give them a more conducive environment for learning. In the present, Paliparan II Integrated High School is now utilizing 5 buildings a total of 64 rooms, 53 of it is being utilized as classrooms for Grade 7- Grade 12 and other 11 rooms are as ancillary rooms (three computer laboratories, two science laboratories, cookery laboratory, canteen, library, faculty room, administration office, guidance office and principal’s office). The school is privilege and blessed enough to conduct whole day classes, with a class size of 1:50 for JHS.

Despite the rapid improvement of the school facilities the school is still dreaming of to improve its surroundings and ancillary services to facilitate a child friendly environment, and quality service leading to excellent performance.
